De-Stress through Meditation

We survive to deal with our stressed-out lives, going through the pain of each day’s struggles with a smile. We live a life where getting just one moment of relaxation is like a challenge. Running from one place to another trying to keep a balance in life. Our lives have turned into a rat race, looking for the bigger piece of cheese each time we gobble the smaller one; not taking one moment to appreciate the taste and the flavour of the cheese we just had.

HH Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj says, that you must take out 24 minutes out of 24 hours for yourself. This 20 minutes Guided Meditation and Breathing practices could be the answer to relax your mind and renew your energy.

We are always in rush, and this attitude is not just limited to our homes and offices; we have stopped visiting temples and choose to make a quick gesture of worship without getting off our moving vehicles in a hurry to reach our destination, convinced that God is our friend yet live in fear of him. Stress is as normal as breathing; we have learnt to deal with it instead of fighting back; never taking a moment to cherish the goodness of life and its little joys it has in store for us.

Stress is normal, dealing with it is normal, and getting used to it is not. Stress is not a condition; it’s a disease that slowly consumes you to death, slowly walking towards you one step at a time.

Two types of Stress

There are however two types of stress, a positive kind which allows one to grow and compete, eventually bettering themselves, but if done in an unhealthy manner leads to negative stress. People often deal with their stress in a negative manner with alcohol and tobacco; good luck with that, because sooner or later that will just result in more problems and more stress. Stress is more dangerous than you think, causing depression, high blood pressure, and heart attacks; being one of the root causes of untimely deaths.

So, how do you battle depression? Meditation can uproot stress from its core, allowing you to focus on more important things; yoga can heal parts of you that you didn’t even know were broken, often resulting in you redefining ‘healthy’ for you and others around you. It might be hard to believe but meditation and yoga can work wonders. It only takes 10 minutes of your day, just close your eyes and be transported to a peaceful place where you chant ‘OM’ in your deepest voice for 10 straight minutes, which allows your body and thoughts to flow freely. Remember, your body is confined into the limitlessness of your soul. For years you have let your body do the talking, it is time you give your soul a chance.

Take it from numerous recovering Alcoholics and Lung Cancer patients; stress can be handled in a very easy manner. Submit to meditation; let it detox your body and soul. Sit back and let your mind and soul rest; let yourself out, out in the open to be able to take a plunge in.

Love: An Expression of your True Self

It is said that Love has the power to move the world. It is true. As humans, one of our basic need is Love.  The core of our existence is Love.  Even a newborn child in the early growing years understands the language of love. It has the power to change everything! But people like to change its meaning as per their convenience. Love has it's true meaning when it's unconditional.

Inhibit Love in Your Actions

Love is not just sentiment or feeling. But it is full of actions that you perform. One has to be selfless to nurture pure love. One should first try to understand others and only then expect to be understood by them. Remember, the expectation is the root cause of all problems. Learn to respect the relationship for what it is. Because love is like a seed; when cultivated, and nurtured gives rise to many other good qualities, such as happiness, tolerance and inner strength.

We may say there are different types of love like parental love, romantic love, love of neighbour, love of God etc. But they are just different expressions of the same love. And in the end, it is the same heart that receives love. The heart’s truest expression is unconditional love. Unconditional means, love someone without any effort to change someone’s behaviour, personality, and beliefs- rather accepting others with all shortcomings, limitations and weaknesses.

Many illnesses can be cured by love and compassion. It is the ultimate source of human happiness, and the need for them rests at the very core of our being. The largest of the human issues can be solved if discussed with humility and peace.

Do not Commodify Love
Indeed, Valentine's Day is losing its aesthetic sense year by year as love is being commodified and is becoming a packaged love helping the growth of love-industry. The emotional connect is masked with gifts rendering the smoothness and grace of emotional connect.

Expressing love through gifts is definitely a good idea but creating a hype of it result in loss of its true value. The day is an expression of your feelings and love and that could be towards anyone, your partner, parents, siblings, or a mentor in your life. The idea is to convey the feeling.
Love Thyself
Very fewer people understand that to love somebody less, it is important to love yourself first. There is a fine line between self-centred and self-loving. To make any relationship successful and happy, it is important to keep yourself happy and contended. That's the very key of balanced living.
We must learn to love ourselves because sometimes we forget who we are. To love ourself is to take complete care of oneself — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Only when you have a healthy mind and body, will you have the patience to listen and understand others.
Love Thy Creator
Our strings are in the hands of God. Love for God is purest, in this love there is no selfishness and no greed. Divine love is the greatest gift in the world. Love for Almighty gives you permanent happiness, joy and peace. Divine love connects the soul with God. This love has no expectations, it is the purest form of this feeling.

The Divine Love of a Mother | Happy Birthday Gurumaa

When a child breathes first so is a woman enlightened as a mother. Hence, a mother is born as soon a child is born.  She bears all the pain and gives birth to a child and enter the world of motherhood.  She gracefully endures the process to give life to the god's gift. A mother embraces the journey with unconditional love and happily sacrifices for her child. No word can describe the majesty of a mother’s love. Mother is Unconditionally Giving The role of a mother is a never-ending process that is pillared on selflessness and compassion. Each blooming child is nurtured under the warm umbrella of care and devotion. She is selfless! Her love has no limit and she expects nothing in return as it is purely unconditional. On the onset of motherhood,  a woman reaps serenity, purity and courage. Mother's life is like an incense stick. It keeps burning to spread its fragrance for the benefit of others. Similarly, Mother dedicates every moment of her life for the benefits of children. In every woman’s life, motherhood is all about celebrating the auspiciousness of Shakti. It is the Divine feminine power that is the source of all harmony, love, nurturing, cherishing, and universal well-being. Every day must be dedicated to honouring the Divine feminine power, unfolding as a celebration of our innate Shakti, force. 7 Beautiful Qualities The Bhagavad Gita classifies seven qualities to the feminine principle: Fame, Prosperity, Speech, Memory, Intelligence, Fortitude and Patience. The Mother principle, which comprises of all these seven potencies, is highly sacred. Wherever you turn, you will see the manifestation of the feminine principle in Nature. Dharmic traditions personify the higher wisdom or spiritual knowledge in a feminine form like Prajnaparamita in Buddhism or Sarasvati in Hinduism. As a mother, she goes through good and bad days as well, but she tries to be always gentle because she knows as a mother she is loved and needed incredibly. She gathers wisdom around her, learns from her own mistakes, stays humble and open. Mother: Creator & Nurturer  There is a proverb which says, ‘God could not be everywhere so he made mothers’. Mother is someone very important, not merely in terms of emotional but also one of the greatest support systems and a really good friend in life. Motherhood is similar to any powerful force of the universe! She has the ability to be a 'Creator', a 'Nurturer', and a 'protector'. We can change, disown anything or anyone, but not our mother. Swami Vivekananda has rightly said that “When the baby is at play, she will not come even if called by her mother. But when she finishes her play, she will rush only to her mother, and will have no play.” Ultimately, we all need a mother to guide us every time. The thoughts are dedicated to the lovely HH Gurumaa on the auspicious occasion of her birthday. She has blessed us all with the warmth, love and strength. No words can describe the emotions yet it is an effort to show gratitude, the respect and the love we have for her! Long Live Gurumaa...
